Her mother is Clytemnestra, a great queen loved by her people and overshadowed only by her own sister Helen’s fame and beauty. Iphigenia has grown up being taught by her tutors to do her duty to her family and to her people, so she is delighted when she is called to marry the great Achilles while the fleet waits to sail from Aulis.
